In May 2022, we embarked on a significant project to showcase Henderson’s automated home vision. Despite tight deadlines, we had confidence in our amazing crew to capture the essence of smart living seamlessly integrated with Mega’s technology.

At The Hong Kong Fixer, we believe in maintaining creativity and artistry in corporate video content. Each project receives meticulous attention to detail, ensuring quality akin to high-budget films.

Synopsis: Meet Kira, a tired tech executive returning to his "Smooth Home" and lovely wife after a business trip, where every aspect operates magically through Mega Automation’s IoT systems.

The Challenge: Filming during the COVID-19 pandemic presented hurdles, though Hong Kong's relatively relaxed restrictions in May 2022 eased some challenges. However, special compliance was necessary for access to buildings like The Henley with a crew of more than 10. Additionally, our shoot location at One Innovale was under construction, leading us to film primarily at Henderson's Double Cove. Here, our production designer Gene Ma worked his magic and turned a cold show flat into a home fit for a young millennial couple. 

The Mission: When our client Mega tasked us with showcasing their cutting-edge home technology, promising a smooth living experience, we seized the opportunity. Our goal was to elevate our creative and technical capabilities while delivering a cinematic masterpiece for Henderson Land.

Our approach was simple. We aimed to harness natural light to infuse warmth into the film, using prime lenses on an Arri Alexa Mini to create a cosy ambience. In scenes requiring radiant light, a powerful LED mimicked sunshine,

The Impact: The film garnered significant attention from prospective homebuyers, with thousands viewing it at One Innovale’s show flat. We are so proud to be a small part of their raging success with hundreds of families now living in smart homes!
