We can’t wait to discover Keith Musil’s film on the Sohos of the world. So wished we’d be there to attend the party! Culture Trip to Bring “Soho to SoCo” at the Iconic Austin Motel March 9th – March 11th
Events Include World Premiere of Culture Trip’s First-Ever Original Film The Soul of Soho and Drag Bingo with Manila Luzon and Bob the Drag Queen from “RuPaul’s Drag Race”
WHAT: UK tech startup, Culture Trip, is making our U.S. debut with a three day/night takeover of the iconic Austin Motel at SXSW. Poised to break out in the States this year, we’re bringing our brand to life with a lineup of unforgettable events.
Anchored by the premiere of our first original film The Soul of Soho on Saturday night, we’re bringing Soho vibes to SoCo with a space redesigned – in partnership with New York’s Fake Love – as your go-to hub for planning, meeting, and of course partying.
Each night, the space will be transformed to represent the three best-known Sohos in the world: New York, Hong Kong and London. On night two, Hong Kong meets Austin in an HK-style night market packed with some of Austin’s best designers and artisans. It all leads up to night three, when the house comes down with an epic game of Drag Bingo hosted by none other than Manila Luzon and Bob the Drag Queen from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

SATURDAY, MARCH 9/6:30 – 10:00 PM
THE SOUL OF SOHO FILM PREMIERE
World premiere outdoor screening of The Soul of Soho with food and drinks. Director, Keith Musil, will open the evening with remarks followed by the premiere of the film. Afterwards, DJ Paul Sethi will turn up the beats and invite guests to join us poolside for our SoCo Soiree. Open bar for media.
SUNDAY, MARCH 10/6:30 – 10:00 PM
HONG KONG NIGHT MARKET AND VIP DINNER
Replicating the vibrant markets of Hong Kong, Culture Trip will open a night market featuring 15 local vendors including Pretti.Cool, Boyd’s of Texas, Zilker, Settle Ceramics and more. Join us for an intimate sit down VIP dinner and drinks to celebrate the spirit of Hong Kong.
MONDAY, MARCH 11/7:30 – 10:00 PM
CULTURE TRIP DRAG BINGO AND VIP QUEEN MEET ‘N GREET
Bob the Drag Queen and Manila Luzon from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will host a travel-themed Drag Bingo. Attendees will receive a VIP meet ‘n greet with the queens. Interview opportunities also available. Open bar for media.
